MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Showers and minimal late today and temperatures are very warm with all the extra sunshine. Cooling will take a little longer tonight, with any isolated showers gone by mid-evening and leftover clouds thinning. Lows will reach the low and mid 70s, still a bit above average. We'll enter a more unsettled pattern over the weekend, with a tropical wave and its moisture to the south and an advancing cold front from the north. Neither of these will be directly overhead Saturday, but they will weaken the current high-pressure system and allow a few more showers and storms to develop in the afternoon. Highs will rise into the lower 90s. Sunday will also feature scattered showers and storms, which may become more widespread Monday and beyond as the cold front inches closer. The tropical wave south of us may develop further once in the Gulf, but should continue moving west and keep its distance from us.
