MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
While the strength of any storms this evening is not expected to be intense in a widespread sense, there is still going to be periods of unsettled conditions in the form of passing showers, brief downpours, and a few cases of thunder. Lows tonight will be limited to the 60s, and mid 70s are possible for Saturday highs. Because of the variable nature of the position of the stationary front near the region, and the flow of air aloft carrying mini disturbances into the environment, timing of these periods of rain are difficult to pinpoint. General rule of thumb for Easter weekend activities is to plan for some rainy times, and have back-up indoor plans. The overall severe thunderstorm risk is low, but isolated storms can pack gusty winds and sporadic instances of hail or a waterspout. Rain accumulations through the weekend may exceed two inches, with some areas getting upwards of four inches before the rain event concludes later Monday. Another damp trend is forecast for the end of next week with mild to warm temps.
