Storm Team Friday evening forecast (03/24/2017)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A warm and partly cloudy afternoon will transition into a mild and clearer evening and night, with forecast lows in the mid to upper 50s before dawn.  High pressure east of the area will shift slightly, and keep the region in a southeast to south wind pattern.  Scattered clouds will blend with the sunshine Saturday.  The onshore flow may keep nearby land areas in the lower 80s, while inland locations can be a few degrees warmer.  A strong low in the Plains will develop a line of active thunderstorms for the Deep South, but the system will likely fizzle as it approaches the tri-state region.  A buildup of clouds is projected later in the day, but only a few showers or storms will be experienced here late Saturday through Sunday.
