MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Showers and thunderstorms are less numerous than before, and confined to the eastern Big Bend and the I-75 corridor. Only isolated heavy rain and occasional lightning are forecast for these areas this evening, with a couple more spotty areas of rain along the seabreeze boundary near coastal sections through 9 p.m. Overnight, fewer clouds and breaks of clear sky will support lows falling to the upper 60s and lower 70s. A good deal of sun will trigger another warming trend through the morning, which may lead to isolated cases of late-day showers and storms again Saturday with highs between the upper 80s coast to mid 90s inland. Coverage of showers and storms will be highly dependent on local wind flows interacting with the seabreeze for the next few afternoon. Later next week, an upper disturbance will approach and create a chance for more-widespread rain activity.
