MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Specks of showers and storms have been forming across the tristate and coastal areas, with additional activity in southern Alabama, all moving to the southeast.  A modest cold front and a center of low pressure are situated near the region, helping to enhance some of the areas of rain.  Severe weather chances are still low, but individual storms may produce gusty winds that may cause localized damage.  Late-night rumbles of thunder are also possible near the coast and in western sections of the viewing region.  Lows will fall to the mid 70s.  The low-pressure system to the east will induce a northerly wind flow, so inland areas may experience a much-lower chance for Saturday rain than locations near the Big Bend.  Nonetheless, chances for passing showers and thunderstorms remain in the Saturday picture with highs in the low to mid 90s.  Further drying is forecast for Sunday, but temperatures will climb back toward the mid to upper 90s.
