MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Widespread showers and rain linger offshore, while partly to mostly cloudy skies are in place over the local landmass.  The Gulf moisture, along with a stalled frontal system, an active upper-level wind flow, and a low-pressure swirl off the Georgia coast are all helping to promote unsettledness in the region.  Late-day rain and thunderstorms in interior south Georgia are drifting to the southwest and may impact nearby counties later this evening with passing rain and some rumbles of thunder.  Overall coverage is limited to about 30% at any given time.  Lows will be in the upper 60s with the best chances for overnight rain existing along the coast and in the bay and gulf waters.  Off-and-on cloudiness stretches into Saturday, with some breaks of sun to warm temps into the mid and upper 80s.  Rain chances peak at 30% in the morning, falling to about 20% later in the day.  Sunday should features additional sun and daytime temperatures above average, around 90°.
