MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
After a period of sunshine following the morning storms, moisture and very cold air are tracking in from the west around the broad, departing low-pressure system. Sunshine will be scarce for most of Saturday, as real-time winter conditions invade in the forms of bitterly cold west and northwest winds and the chilly air flowing in on them. Lows tonight will dip into the mid to upper 30s area-wide, and wind speeds will increase to 10 mph and higher. With limited sun, we will only reach the 40s during Saturday afternoon, with winds occasionally over 15 mph creating wind-chill feels-like temps in the 30s. Some breaks in the clouds are possible late as drier air infiltrates and winds relax. Sunday morning will be in the light-freeze range with full sunshine and highs recovering to the mid to upper 50s. The up-and-down temp trend continues next week; warmer early before a midweek low-pressure disturbance brings the next rain chance, then colder after that.
