MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
We're setting up for another nearly perfect late-winter weekend in the Big Bend and southern Georgia. The broad high-pressure system over the western side of the Gulf Coast region will float eastward, spreading its stable conditions and dry air over the area. It'll be difficult to find any major source of clouds in the next 36 hours. The lighter winds will allow for additional cooling overnight, with lows reaching the low and mid 30s. Full sunshine will try to counter the existing cool air mass, and we'll be able to break into the 60s in the afternoon. Westerly winds will set up Sunday after another cold start in the 30s, but highs will jump toward 70° as the sky remains mainly sunny in the afternoon. The temperature rebound stretches into the early half of next week, with scattered clouds before the next storm system provides a midweek rain and thunder chance.
