MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered rain and thunderstorms have been lifting northeastward from the Apalachicola River basin, so some brief impacts from dampness and loud rumbles are possible in these area through the early evening. Any showers in the Suwannee River region will be isolated in nature. Overnight, the sky will be mostly clear with mild lows in the mid 70s. Upper high pressure remains a strong influence on temperature trends this weekend, with highs reaching the mid 90s to near 100°, especially near and east of I-75. Western and coastal areas will experience the first development of afternoon showers and storms. A return to a more-robust daytime thunderstorm cycle is anticipated by Sunday and beyond, which may aid in pushing highs back closer to average.
