MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A few spots of rain and thunder are roaming around the north Florida landscape, with some intrusion into south Georgia possible. Any rain segment can produce downpours and lightning, with a briefly stronger storm possible through mid-evening. Otherwise, cloud cover will thin out overnight with plenty of lingering moisture and lows only in the mid 70s. Saturday, the afternoon showers and storms will return after a few hours of heating, and the same limited threats of heavy rain, gusty winds, and isolated strong or severe storms exist. Highs will again be hot, in the 90s across the region, and near 100° for interior locations. A disturbance aloft will reach the Southeast early next week, and development of showers, rain, and storms will increase with its presence. No tropical features are expected through the weekend.
