Storm Team Friday evening forecast (08/01/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The unusually dry period that had given us relief to the very uncomfortable and humid conditions late last week is ending and a rainier pattern will set up for the weekend. The winds will be out of the southwest into the weekend and that will allow for the sea-breeze to make it further inland, increasing rain coverage to 50-60% tomorrow. Highs around the Big Bend will be mainly in the lower 90s tomorrow, with more inland areas such as Southwest and South-Central Georgia having mid 90s. Some tropical moisture from the south will help to enhance our rain chances through the weekend so for the next few days into the next work week, we will possibly see a much larger coverage area of moisture with chances of rainfall higher than normal until about midweek when high pressure stabilizes the atmosphere a bit, but not enough to drop rain chances significantly. We will likely see a more seasonable pattern with rain chances around 30-40%. Areas that don't see rain can see higher temperatures over the days next week, especially inland.  Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Bertha will remain off the east coast through the weekend and not create any direct threats to the region.
