Storm Team Friday evening forecast (07/31/2015)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A stalling frontal system near the state line region this weekend will be the main driving force behind excess cloudiness at times, and periods of rain and thunderstorms.  The highest and most widespread rain potential will exist along the Big Bend coast and into the Suwannee River valley for Saturday, while numerous but still scattered storms may form for interior sections in the afternoon.  Lows tonight will be in the mid 70s, and highs may be stuck in the 80s in areas with the extra cloud cover.  Breaks of sun will boost some highs into the lower 90s.  Some heavy rain is possible, and may add up to one to two inches in southern locations.  A small amount of drier air from the north may lower the rain chances early next week across south Georgia, and then near average rain action expected for the north Florida seabreeze zones with average or slightly above-average temperatures.
