MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Steamy summer weather will stretch into the weekend, but chances for showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase. For the rest of today, a few showers and areas of rain will stream to the north. Partial clearing is likely late tonight with lows in the middle 70s. Showers and thunderstorms will be widely scattered for most of the region Saturday with hot highs in the low to mid 90s, but areas near the Chattahoochee River may experience thickening clouds and better chances for rain in the afternoon as a cold front approaches. This feature will slow its overall progress Sunday but will still be capable to spreading more clouds and showers around. Some inland areas will feel drier by Monday morning, but it'll be tough to eliminate rain chances altogether early next week.
