Storm Team Friday evening forecast (09/05/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A broken band of showers and thunderstorms will spread occasional downpours early this evening along the central and eastern Big Bend regions, with action decreasing and shifting to the south as the evening progresses.  Scattered clouds will linger overnight, with a slight chance for a few more showers developing with a nearby upper-level disturbance off the FloridaFirstCoast.  This feature will continue to keep the local weather pattern stirred up, triggering extra clouds and passing showers and thunder throughout the weekend.  Most of the development will occur in the midday through mid-evening hours both Saturday and Sunday.  Cloudiness may suppress daytime temperatures a bit, but highs will still reach the 90° mark in many areas except east of I-75.  Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 70s.  Showers and storms will be present each day in the extended outlook, with maybe less coverage of thunderstorms toward the middle of next week.  There will be no local concerns coming from the tropics this weekend.
