MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered clouds will thin out and clear out as a modest cold front across middle Georgia slides south later tonight. Moisture is limited, so showers aren't expected to be widespread, though an outside chance for a stray sprinkle exists mainly east of I-75 this evening. Breezy west winds become northerly late tonight, and that will trigger the return of chillier temperatures just in time for the weekend. Lows will range from 40° interior south Georgia to the upper 40s right at the beaches. Sustained northerly breezes will suppress the temp increase despite full sunshine; we'll reach peak readings in the mid and upper 50s. Winds will be lighter Sunday morning, when a light freeze is possible. Highs in the low 60s are possible in the afternoon as spotty clouds return. Moisture further increases Monday, leading to more cloudiness and a higher rain chance late as the next disturbance approaches.
