Storm Team Friday evening forecast (04/03/2015)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The hot pattern we've experienced late this week will come to a halt temporarily as we see the advance of a cold front from the northwest on Saturday afternoon. The rain chance will increase ahead of this front for the later morning/ afternoon hours with coverage around 30-40%. Eastern zones have a higher likelihood of seeing more thunderstorms due to being further away from the front and therefore having more opportunity for heating during the day to help grow the showers/storms of the front by the time it reaches the Suwannee River Valley. Lows this Saturday morning are forecast to be at or slightly above 60 degrees. Highs across western zones will be in the lower to mid 70s with eastern zones seeing highs in the upper 70s. Sunnier and mild conditions are expected for Sunday as high pressure sets in after the cold front passage with highs in the mid to upper 70s. The next work week will see slight rain opportunities with high temps forecast to jump back into the upper 80s once again.
