Storm Team Friday evening forecast (09/04/2015)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Another round of scattered evening showers and storms will be present around the region.  Not everyone will receive rain, but individual thunderstorms may force delays or interruptions in Friday night activities.  The weekend will keep the feel of summer, with considerable moisture, and sun-and-cloud mix by midday, and developing rain and thunderstorms by mid-afternoon.  An upper feature will trigger most of the action, and northeast winds will likely shove the activity toward the southwest, closer to the coastline by early-evening.  Pockets of rain may be locally heavy, but severe weather chances remain very low.  Minimum temps will reach the low to mid 70s overnight, and highs will range from the upper 80s to the mid 90s, particularly in western counties near the Flint and Apalachicola rivers.  Despite the attempts of the northeast wind to bring in some drying, scattered rain is likely to redevelop Sunday and Monday afternoons, impacting parts of the Labor Day weekend.
