MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The amount of showers and storms late today is quite lower than previous afternoons and evenings. The seabreeze is active and capable of producing showers and storms near the boundary, mainly in the western side of the Big Bend. Any related activity will mainly move to the north. Isolated showers or storms in some inland areas should begin to diminish shortly after sunset, so the overall storm chances for the evening are still somewhat lower than past nights. Some clearing in the morning, and light winds, will allow temps to fall to the mid to low 70s. Upper high pressure over the Gulf will influence temps by creating another brief heat wave, with feels-like temperatures nearing 105° while actual air temps range from the low 90s at the coast to upper 90s near the state line. Isolated storms in the afternoon may become briefly strong or even severe in a few cases. A cold front will approach around next Tuesday, bringing rain opportunities up by then.
