MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The weekend will feature partly cloudy conditions in the mornings, then increased afternoon clouds with periods of rain and thunder thanks to scattered thunderstorm development. A weak cold front in the Deep South may enhance the activity, particularly on Sunday and in southern Georgia. Moisture sources from the Gulf and the tropics will maintain a ripe environment for rain and thunder to form after a few hours of heating. Lows will fall to the mid and low 70s with breaks of clear sky, and highs Saturday and Sunday will range from the upper 80s to lower 90s. A few spots that get more sunlight may reach the mid 90s, with feels-like temperatures exceeding 100° before any rain action. There isn’t much of a break in the summertime rain potential for at least the next five days.
