Storm Team Friday evening forecast (05/08/2015)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The presence of the named storm Ana off South Carolina's coast will keep the Big Bend and southern Georgia in a generally dry, hot pattern for the Mother's Day weekend ahead.  As temperatures rise in an air mass without major moisture, we'll see afternoon readings that will rival highs seen in the middle of summer.  Away from the coast, low to mid 90s will be common.  However, humidity levels will be rather low, reducing the chance of high "feels-like" temps.  Lows tonight will fall to around 60° to 65°, then mainly in the mid 60s Sunday morning.  Enough heat may build to produce an isolated thunderstorm in the late-afternoon both weekend days, then a slow leaning toward unsettled weather will occur through next week.
