MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Scattered showers and areas of clouds will linger through the evening and late-night hours.  Because of the extra cloudiness, thunderstorms should not be incredibly strong, but some downpours and frequent lightning will be possible.  The entire stretch of the weekend will features variable cloudiness, periods of overcast, and higher coverage of rain as a cold front approaches from the north.  Breaks of sun will allow some areas to reach 90° or above, especially in north Florida Saturday.  The onset of clouds and occasional rain will impact south Georgia first, then sink to around the state line Saturday night and through most of Sunday.  Isolated stronger storms are possible, but widespread occurrences of severe weather are unlikely.  Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 70s, which will be the minimum temp trend all weekend.
