MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A large area of high pressure will keep the weekend looking clear and bright, the temperatures mild, and the overall feel of the pattern ideal for all the outdoor activities taking place on this first weekend of May. The nearby location of the high will create an extra cooling opportunity overnight, as long as winds remain calm. We should be able to reach the lower 50s away from the beaches, with some outlying interior sections dipping into the upper 40s right before sunrise. Plenty of warming with limited clouds and abundant sunshine Saturday; as a result, readings will reach the lower 80s in the afternoon. The high shifts slightly on Sunday, but no huge changes are expected. Morning temps will climb back toward 60° early next week with a little more moisture in the region. However, rain chances will be confined to less than 20% of the area, mainly driven by winds coming off the Atlantic.
