MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The influences from the tropics will continue throughout the rest of this holiday weekend, but there is an end in sight to the soaring temperatures.  For Saturday, expect an ongoing trend of morning fog, scattered clouds with sun by midday, and readings quickly jumping to near-record levels again.  Lows will fall to the mid and upper 60s overnight with areas of fog.  Highs near the coast will be in the mid 70s, with low to mid 80s for some interior locations.  With upper-level high pressure nearby, shower chances are unlikely.  Sunday won't be much different with lows in the 60s to near 70°, and highs in the low to mid 80s.  A cold front approaches by Monday with extra clouds and rain opportunities.  Temperatures will stay milder than average with occasional bouts of rain as the front meanders.  A stronger cold front is forecast for around New Year's Eve and Day, which appears to carry a significant cool-down into the area.
