Storm Team Friday evening forecast (07/15/2016)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Scattered numerous storms have produced pockets of heavy rain and some localized gusts.  This activity will diminish as we go past sunset, leaving patches of clouds and breaks of clearer sky overnight.  Lows will fall into the low to mid 70s.  Ample moisture, a weaker build-up of high pressure over the Southeast, and daytime heating will contribute to more showers and briefly heavy storms by the afternoon hours.  Highs will range from the upper 80s at the beach to the mid 90s in areas that avoid excess clouds and rain.  The high-pressure system builds across the middle portion of the country next week; we'll remain on a fringe side of the high, meaning we'll keep near-average afternoon thunderstorm chances in the picture, with temperatures a bit above average for highs, but likely staying away from record levels.
