Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A second wave of steady, moderate rain will impact the Big Bend counties this evening, with lighter showers north of the state line.  The inland rain will contain spotty lightning, but severe weather isn't expected.  Storms in the offshore Bay waters moving toward the northern Nature Coast may contain higher gusts, but even these have shown signs of modest weakening as they've approached the shore.  Clouds will linger overnight with low temps around 70°.  A cold front will come closer through the morning, so cloudiness will remain with occasional scattered showers or an isolated storm.  Sunshine will attempt to break out during the afternoon, as the coverage of rain diminishes further.  Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s.  A surge of dry air will be most noticeable Sunday, along with a slight dip in daytime temps.  Morning lows to start the week will be near 60°, with dry conditions extending deep into next week.
