MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Areas of showers and rain will continue to impact central and eastern parts of the Big Bend with occasionally heavier downpours and a limited number of thunderstorms through mid-evening. Some stray showers and rain will advance toward the tri-state region later today as the main cold front advances to the east through late tonight. Drier air will enter the area behind the front, giving most of Saturday adequate amounts of sunshine and an early end to any rain threat. Lows will reach the lower 60s, with some upper 50s possible in southwest Georgia. Patchy fog is possible around dawn with any leftover ground-level moisture. We'll quickly warm into the low to mid 80s. Highs will only go higher from there for Sunday and beyond, with mostly sunny conditions Sunday and some scattered clouds through early next week. Highs will range from the low 80s at the coast to around 90° inland for several afternoons next week. It may be warm enough for isolated late-day showers and thunderstorms, though coverage of such will be quite small.
