Storm Team Friday evening forecast (04/04/2014)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A cold front will effectively shut down the ideal spring weather we’ve had all week, and provide areas of clouds and occasional rain and thunderstorms over the next few days.  The front will cause general unsettledness, but there’s no organized force with the front to enhance the rain and storm strength overall.  Nonetheless, there may be periods ofo downpours and heavy rain, with an isolated stronger storm Saturday and the first half of Sunday.  Lows will be very mild in the low and middle 60s, and highs may break 80° if enough sun gets through the waves of clouds and rain.  Late Sunday, low pressure forming in the western Gulf will ride along the frontal system and push in more warm and moist air, which will create a better scenario for organized strong and severe storms.  We’ll keep you advised on this potential through the weekend.
