MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
We are leaning toward a drier, but hotter, series of afternoons as northeast winds shift around to the north, then northwest, over the weekend. Low pressure in the western Atlantic will propel a continental air mass into the region, limiting rain chances to near zero in many cases. That flow, however, won't tap into a cooler source, so the strong late-summer sun will allow daytime readings to reach the low and mid 90s both weekend days. Morning lows Saturday will be around 70°, the the dry nature of the air Sunday morning will allow cooler lows in the middle 60s. A cold front and associated upper low will impact the region Tuesday; additional clouds and shower and storm chances will be the result, as well as a return to near-average temperatures. Scattered clouds will linger as the disturbance may be slow to depart.
