Storm Team Friday evening forecast (10/02/2015)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Clouds will linger for most of the weekend ahead, with limited breaks of sun Saturday and just a slight increase on Sunday.  An upper disturbance over the Southeast will promote overcast conditions, and drag a bit of Atlantic moisture into the cooler air mass it is also providing.  This evening, areas of showers and rain will be more likely over the eastern Big Bend and into south-central Georgia near the I-75 corridor, with only isolated cases of lightning and thunder.  Spotty showers and drizzle are possible through Saturday morning with lows in the cool lower 60s.  The lack of sun will slow the warming trend, so peak temps Saturday may remain in the 60s in south Georgia, with a few more low to mid 70s near the coast.  Sub-average temperatures will stretch into early next week with a slow clearing trend starting Monday.
