MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The front the region has experienced will push northeast and away from the Big Bend and South Georgia. This means the pattern of cooler nights with comfortable and drier afternoons is leaving us for more of the humid and hotter weather we're accustomed to. Lows in the mid to upper 70s will return for Friday night into the weekend with afternoon highs in the lower 90s. Rain coverage returns to near 40% all weekend as Gulf flow returns and helps keep the humidity on the rise. Tropical Storm Erika will affect the forecast afterward. If the storm intensifies as it moves north along or near Florida, it may keep most rain coverage toward its center. But if it approaches the Big Bend coastline by Tuesday, the rain coverage and wind threats will grow. Stay tuned for more updates Saturday.
