MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The Fourth of July celebration will be a hot one with humidity making it feel oppressive at times. The week will continue with that note of sweltering heat and high humidity.
Tuesday: The heat is on for Independence Day! Expect morning lows to be in the mid 70s, with a muggy feeling in the air. The afternoon will feature partly cloudy skies as high pressure east of us remains as the dominant system controlling the weather pattern. Some dry air nearby will limit rain chances today, allowing for even more sunlight.
Expect highs to jump to the mid to upper 90s with heat index values in the triple digits! Rain coverage will be low, at around 20% (30% near the coast). The rain chances should die down as the sun sets.
Beach and Boating forecast information and your Tide Times for Tuesday are below:
Wednesday and Thursday: The weather pattern won't change much through this period. Expect morning lows in the middle 70s and highs in the mid to upper 90s! Rain coverage will be isolated (at around 30%). With high humidity, the heat index will still approach the upper 90s to above 100°. Keep hydrated and limit sun exposure.
Friday into Monday: Moisture content will likely grow into the weekend and early next week as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Expect morning lows in the middle 70s, with highs in the lower 90s. Rain coverage will progressively grow, starting at 40% jumping to 50% and higher by the late weekend.
