GREENBELT, MD (WTXL / CNN) - Sure this looks like a smiley face, but it's actually a massive galaxy cluster captured by The Hubble Space Telescope. The curve, or smile, is a result of what astronomers at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland call a “strong gravitational lensing.”
That happens when the gravitational pull between the two galaxies is so strong that it distorts time and space creating the ring like structure or smiley face.
