TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A couple of storms Tuesday could pack a punch of damaging winds, isolated tornadoes and frequent thunder and lightning.

LATEST DISCUSSION:

A cold front will approach from the northwest later on this afternoon leading to the potential for a few strong to severe thunderstorms. Storms will sink south across the coverage area through the remainder of the afternoon and evening until we dry out late tonight.

TIMELINE:

The best chance for thunderstorm activity will take place between the lunch and dinner hour.

GREATEST RISKS:

A broken line of storms will enter SW Georgia this afternoon bringing the potential for damaging winds and an isolated tornado with frequent thunder and lightning. The Storm Prediction Center has much of the Big Bend area under an enhanced risk, while coastal sections of the Big Bend are now under a slight risk.
