MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- There are a few disturbances across the Atlantic Ocean but only one of them has a medium potential to grow into our next depression within the next 5 days. That disturbance is southwest of the Cape Verde islands over the open Atlantic. It has a 30% chance of developing into a depression within the next two days and a 60% chance of developing within the next 5 days. will continue to push to the west-northwest over the weekend into the next work week.
Elsewhere, a weak disturbance southwest of the Azores has a 10% chance of developing into a depression as it moves to the west-northwest in the open Atlantic. It is not a threat to U.S. land.
Another disturbance in the Caribbean has near zero chance to develop, but will still be a rain threat for the islands in the area.
