MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The Tropics are starting to get more active as we are continuing to monitor two separate disturbances in the open Atlantic waters.
Originally, the disturbance closer to Africa had higher chances to develop, but now upper level winds are beginning to weaken the system. It has a 20% chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 2-5 days.
A disturbance closer to the Lesser Antilles is looking healthier on satellite images Saturday and it has a 60% chance of developing within the next five days. We will continue to update you on air and online as these disturbances push west.
