MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- No tropical trouble brewing in the Atlantic but the potential for some trouble has sparked up. A tropical wave over the Yucatan Peninsula has a 40% chance of developing into a depression within the next 2 days as it enters a favorable environment in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. Regardless of what it intensifies into, the system will possibly push into the southeastern coast of Texas. If it doesn't , it has the potential for more rainfall in an area that has received inches of rain over the past month.
The east Pacific has hurricane Carlos, which has prompted hurricane warnings along parts of Mexico's coastline and it is forecast to move parallel & very close to the coast of the country.
