Hurricane Season

Tropical storm Dorian is no longer alive and has been downgraded to a tropical wave with wind speeds at about 40 mph. Over the past few days it has been traveling through an area with high wind shear and very dry and lost it's closed center of circulation. It is not likely that this system will regenerate since it will still be encountering a lot of dry air. The remnants of Dorian will be near the SE Bahamas in 2-3 days.

There is also a non-tropical area of low pressure in the northern Atlantic. This system has been given a 20% chance of developing into a tropical storm as it moves NNE at 20 mph.
