TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- As the month of July nears to an end, the Atlantic waters are still relatively quiet. However, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring a weak disturbance just off the coast of Africa. As of now, if any development takes place, it will be slow to occur. A massive ridge of high pressure is set up over the eastern states so there is no threat to the country. Besides the weak disturbance over the Central Atlantic, which would take over a week to cross into an area of concern, we expect little to nothing to change.
