MIDWAY, FL. (WTXL) -- Not much has changed in regards to the tropics. We're still watching Tropical Storms Karl and Lisa as well as a disturbance south of the Cape Verde Islands.

Tropical Storm Karl is sitting just northeast of Bermuda with sustained winds of 65 mph. Karl will continue moving northeast at 18 mph and may strengthen into a category 1 hurricane over the next 24 hours.

Tropical Storm Lisa in the open Atlantic still has sustained winds of 40 mph and is moving northwest at 18 mph. Over the next 24-36 hours, this storm is expected to weaken and fizzle out completely.

Lastly, there is a disturbance southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. As of now, there is a 60% chance that it will form into a tropical depression in the next five days. It is forecast to move west at about 20 mph, approaching the Caribbean Sea by the middle of next week.
