MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Conditions across the Atlantic Ocean are not favorable for tropical cyclone development within the next five days. A mass of moisture and disturbed weather draped across the western Caribbean and western Atlantic is not in a environment suitable for tropical formation.
The Pacific Ocean saw a re-intensification of Hurricane Blanca to a Category 4 Hurricane, but now has winds of 120 mph, making it a Category 3 storm. The storm will make a very close approach to the southern half of Baja California and will likely impact the region with tropical storm conditions, hence the tropical storm warnings issued there. Landfall is probable between late Sunday and late Monday on the western side of the peninsula.
