TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- There are still two areas of interest in the tropics that we are continuing to watch.

The first one is about a thousand miles southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. This low pressure has very disorganized shower associated with it, but environmental conditions are seem favorable for some development in the coming days. At this time, there is only a 50% chance of formation in the next five days. This area of interest will continue moving west northwestward at about 15 mph.

The second tropical wave we are watching is in the central Caribbean Sea. This area of interest has shown some signs of organization, and could continue to do so before reaching the Yucatan Peninsula late Monday night. This tropical wave will continue moving in a west northwest direction at 10 to 15 mph. At this time, this area of interest has a 70% chance of development.
