MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Two main areas are being watched across the Tropical Atlantic, and only one is being monitored for development in the coming week. That wave is pushing toward the Yucatán Peninsula and as it moves back into open waters over the Gulf, it is expected to better organize and possible develop into a tropical depression. The other disturbance is fighting in an unfavorable environment but still sprouting thunderstorm activity. As it moves west to the Caribbean, conditions for development may improve. We will continue to monitor these disturbances and will provide updates as they come.
