The North Atlantic Basin is quiet and today, and no tropical development is expected in the next 48 hours. There are two areas of tropical moisture close to Florida. One area of tropical moisture lies off the east coast of Florida, moving northward and expected to impact the Carolina coast. The wave of tropical moisture is capable of bringing heavy rain to the region, but is not expected to develop any further. An area of low pressure and stationary front lingers over North Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. It will continue to push some gulf moisture onshore into Sunday, bringing more scattered showers and storms into North Florida and South Georgia.
