TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- Post tropical cyclone Hermine has sustained winds of 70 mph and is moving east at 10 mph. Over the next few days Hermine is forecast to strengthen once again and the core is expected to redevelop. Regardless of the final structure, Hermine will remain a dangerous cyclone over the next 5 days. It is forecast to continuing moving towards the northeast in the short term, in the long term Hermine will speed up and move towards the north-northeast.
A tropical wave near towards the east of the Lesser Antilles had a 30% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. Environmental conditions are only marginally conducive for development while the system continues to move towards the west at 15-20 mph.
