TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- At this time, there is only one area of disturbed weather in the Atlantic Basin, though it is not forecast to have tropical or subtropical development.

This area of disturbed weather is about 400 miles southwest of Bermuda, and it is forecast to be a powerful non-tropical cyclone by the end of the weekend. This means that gale-force winds may be felt in parts of the western Atlantic Ocean through Sunday. Tropical formation is not expected with this area of interest, so the National Hurricane Center has given this a near 0% chance of formation in the next five days as it moves into the central Atlantic Ocean.
