TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- This morning's rain and cloudier skies helped really helped lessen the chance for afternoon thunderstorms in the area. As for the end of the weekend and next week, these rain chances remain in the forecast as an upper level low approaches and moves past the area.
Tonight, it'll be fairly quiet with a gradually clearing sky. Overnight lows are expected to fall to the lower and mid 70s with a light and variable wind.
Sunday will start off mostly sunny with an increase in clouds by the afternoon hour. Highs heat to the mid 90s for much of the area with a light easterly wind. There is a chance of very isolated afternoon showers and weak thunderstorms from daytime heating. Sunday night will see partly cloudy skies that slowly clear with lows in the mid 70s yet again. Rain is not expected overnight.
