TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Even though Saturday saw some afternoon thunderstorms, Sunday's forecast is looking to be a little bit different. There is a high pressure to our north and Hurricane Jose off the east coast of Florida. While Jose will remain well away from our area, this hurricane and the previously mentioned high pressure will help bring us northerly winds and drier air. This means our rain chances will be much lower for the end of the weekend.
Tonight, lows fall near 70 degrees with gradually clearing skies. Winds will be from the north to northeast at 5 mph.
Sunday will see drier air and afternoon rain chances of less than 20 percent. There is a chance of fog in the morning, but once that breaks, we'll see sunnier skies. By the afternoon, we can expect to see partly cloudy conditions and highs near 90 degrees. Sunday night will show some clearing with lows falling back to the lower 70s.
