OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (WTXL) – A rare December tornado briefly touched down in central Oklahoma Sunday afternoon. The National Weather Service in Norman, Oklahoma says tornado records go back to 1950 for Oklahoma County and in that time, there has there been a December twister reported until this past weekend.
The tornado touched down near Lake Arcadia in Edmond, OK. It was a weak EF-0 tornado with winds ranging from 65 to 85 mph. No injuries or damages were reported.
