DAMASCUS, Ga. (WTXL) — The National Weather Service reported an "extremely dangerous" tornado just northeast of Damascus Monday afternoon.
The tornado was confirmed via a TDS signature around 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
The tornado, described as "extremely dangerous," was last spotted moving near Damascus at around 30-35 miles per hour.

According to the NWS, a double-wide mobile home and a single-family home near Damascus sustained "significant damage" in the storm. At least one injury was reported by emergency management in Early County, according to meteorologists.
