The eastern part of the country has been enjoying much more mild temperatures over the past few days. However, Winter is not over yet and will be making another visit!
This arctic outbreak will bring frigid temperatures from the Midwest to the Northeast, and even into areas of the South starting next week.
One advantage of the Great Lakes being frozen over is that there will be less moisture available, which means less lake-effect snow.
Wondering how cold it will get in the WTXL viewing area? Temperatures will cool off by Thursday but we aren't expecting anything nearly as intense as other arctic outbreaks we have seen this season. Friday will be the coolest day with temperatures struggling to make it into the 60s.
